DSLR Meet-Up at SNOB (Somewhat North of Boston) Film Festival

Network & socialize with fellow DSLR filmmakers for a special gathering of the Boston DSLR Meetup as part of the Somehwat North of Boston (SNOB) Film Festival. Featured special guests will be New Hampshire DSLR filmmaker Ron Risman and MA DSLR filmmaker Matt Stapleton. Ron and Matt started working together just a few months ago, after first meeting on Twitter and eventually at one of the Boston Final Cut Pro User Group (BOSFCPUG) mixers.  Their first collaboration together, HEART OF THE EQUESTRIAN, will make its debut at the SNOB Film Festival.

Filmed in New Hampshire, HEART OF THE EQUESTRIAN is a story of a 17 year old equestrian who shares a great love for horses and a passion for the sport of horse jumping. Victoria has been riding since the age of 5 and competing since she was 8 years old. The film highlights the bond that she shares with her horses, her dedication to the sport, the care and attention the horses receive, and the beauty of the sport of Horse Jumping.

DISCUSS DSLR WORKFLOW
Ron and Matt will be on hand to answer questions about the ‘making of’ the film and will also talk about some of things you’ll want to know when making the transition from photography to cinematography. They’ll also have on hand some inexpensive gear for you to try out that can help increase production value without breaking the bank. We will also have on hand selected Canon EOS DSLRs and lenses for you to try out, courtesy of our friends at Canon and Concord, NH based ACCESS AV.

Get Seen! We will be meeting at Red River Theaters in Concord, NH on Saturday, November 20th from 2:30pm-5pm - and then we'll go out to a local restaurant for drinks and dinner. Plan to have a great time to screen your shorts and meet some great DSLR shooters, filmmakers and digital storytellers!
