I just I'd share a few news that I am concerned about from time to time...

Sentosa IR Hotels Open On Jan 20

ST Prime News: Sentosa IR Hotels Open On Jan 20

The details.

PS: I know it's crazy to expect anyone to read this. But this post is more of a simple news feed. I have typed out the main points. =)

As it says, only 4 of 6 hotels, and 10 lounges and restaurants will be opening. The much more interesting Universal Studios Singapore Theme Park and casinos will only start business at a later date.

I am actually looking forward to the sky garden, which they have not confirmed if they will be charging, just for people to go up, literally plainly take a stroll and view Singapore.

Singapore Tip: For those who want to visit Singapore and love views, do go to The Terrace@Esplanade. It's a really beautiful half-sky garden with ample places to sit, nicer view than the Flyer, very relaxed and free.

It's beautiful both in the day and at night. But I suggest the night view if you only can choose one. Cos there is this bank that has changing lights on its building, and it takes quite some time to finish seeing all the patterns.

If you've visited Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong before, I would say, this is the Singapore version of it, cos of the lighted signboards on skyscrapers. (Victoria Harbour beats ours a 100 times though, due to the sheer size of the water in between.) Singapore River is more of nostalgia than lights. There is a story behind it if you do go for Singapore Day Tours.

Other than that, Vivo City half-sky garden is perfect too! I remember seeing their Christmas tree there last year. There is a huge pond.

And then there is Alexander bridge -The Wave. But this is for more adventurous people who want to walk and climb.

I guess I've done my little part for promoting Singapore. haha! There ARE beautiful places. And it's NOT BORING. It's just whether you are willing to look around and explore.

...South Swelters

Can imagine how this news caught my eye with the picture of The Great Wall of China. I still feel like I've just returned from Beijing, and I am still pretty concerned about what's going on over there. Lol.

It snowed. And I didn't get to see it.

From this piece of news, obviously, snow is not a good thing. It hit -18 deg C, the lowest since 1950. And people are dying from frost bites.

It's things like that which makes me count my blessings. I think all beauty bloggers are immensely fortunate as we have the ability and external circumstances to make/have money and spend it. We have things to enjoy, things to share... ... While there are so many who don't even have enough for themselves. No wonder they say "The giver is more fortunate than the receiver."

Not to mention me feeling guilty as I contribute more and more to Global Warming. It's just so true. So true when I see news like that.

I remember when I was studying global warming and greenhouse effect in primary school, everything seems to be just on paper. 10 years ago, it really was just on paper. Back then, I never imagined that it would come true.

Sometimes I feel that I shouldn't even be blogging cos this means I use so much of the internet, so much of waste generated from my products, so much of processing waste generated to produce each and every one of my products. (For example, imagine how much damage L'oreal's factories are doing... ...)

Perhaps that is why there are strong advocates for organically-produced-everything, and also support for The Body Shop.

Honestly, the only constant in this world is change. And this global warming change is already too far down its tracks. There is not much we can do except to slow it down. Save electricity, use less (yes, finish using all those products before buying the next)... ... Anything else?

Johnson & Johnson Heiress Found Dead

J&J Heiress Found Dead

Not like it really makes an impact on Johnson & Johnson products whether she was found dead or not. But well, this is just a piece of entertainment news since we do use J&J products from time to time. Condolences to her family (it says she was diagnosed with diabetes as a child).
