Emporio Armani - Cotton Candy Daydream
Emporio Armani is the cheaper and slightly younger brand in comparison to Armani itself. However, I have always preferred the Emporio Armani runway, probably because it is aimed at a slightly younger audience. I adored the runway from last season. Last season they created a futuristic red and black set that looked like it could have been the Death Star in Star Wars. I thought it was incredible but this season seems to be the complete opposite.
Spring/Summer 2020
The runway opens with a very pink and grey colour scheme and all of it looks very light and floaty with metallic fabrics. The show then slowly moves into a light pastel blue and goes further into darker blues, aqua and green shades. Speaking of the pastel blue, my favourite piece that comes in this pastel colour, is the coat in the picture above. I feel like this has a slightly clinical vibe, as if you were in a lab but it is slightly see through and I feel like it adds a bit of colour to quite a boring outfit. It also looks like Armani are predicting rain for S/S.
There is a real mix of outfits in this runway. For example in the picture above it is incredibly casual and borders on streetwear but you also have super formal evening dress like the one in the picture below which is beautiful. Please can I have that dress for my Christmas party, how stunning is the embellishment! This really is a varied runway.
The accessories are incredible in this runway and there are so many I love but at the same time a couple that I find quite odd. I am a big fan of the small pink flap cross body bag which sort of plays with the small bag trend but not to the extreme that you cannot fit anything in it. There are also some big round sunglasses which sort of remind me of Elton John but slightly less flamboyant. There is also a hat that is throughout the runway but I am not a fan. It is a bucket hat that has sort of a formal rim, I think this combination is a little bit strange.
Based on This Show, What Should You Add to Your S/S Wardrobe?
Crop Tops and Track Pants. I am not a casual dresser but seeing track pants and a crop top in this runway has sort of changed my opinion on it. I think it is the colours which make this outfit seem more acceptable to me but I really liked this outfit, minus the cummerbund.
Pink, Grey and Blue are a Wardrobe Must. The colour of the collection was stunning and I love it. Everything feels quite light and spring-like in this collection, with a lot of pastel shades.
Pink Flap Bag - For some reason I have been obsessed with the accessories this season and really taking note of what I am seeing on the runway and I really love the pink cross body flap bag. I am not a big fan of the tiny bag trend but I think the size of this bag is usable. On the subject of accessories, I also loved the big sunglasses in this runway.
